2006, a year of superlatives for the luxury watchmaking industry.

The Swiss watchmaking industry had an exceptional year in 2006 with an 11% increase in exports to a record 13.7 billion CHF. The luxury watchmakers have clearly led the profession as a whole, with recorded growth in foreign sales of 34.7% in the number of items and 27% in value. And the momentum does not yet appear to show the slightest sign of slowing down.
