On the necessary industrialisation of Haute Horlogerie.

Haute Horlogerie Journal: an admirable project, but for whom? Which market? Which philosophy or products? What do the words "Haute Horlogerie" encompass and to what concepts do they refer? Providing a satisfactory answer to this question is clearly a delicate task, as criteria differ from one group to the next. In addition, while clearly not all companies fall within the perimeter of Haute Horlogerie, some of them may well claim this title for one or other model in their collection, usually produced to commemorate an important event. Eluding a topic that is so central to its vocation isn’t an option: instead, Haute Horlogerie Journal proposes to examine the question in the light of the fundamental issues facing Haute Horlogerie as a leading-edge industrial process covering every stage from creation to production, from distribution to sales.
