Richard Mille RM 011 Felipe Massa Flyback Chronograph “Red Kite”

With its chestnut red body and slender black wingtips, the Red Kite is one of the most elegant birds of prey patrolling the skies. This graceful hunter’s striking plumage echoes the surprising combination of materials in the new Richard Mille RM 011 Felipe Massa Flyback Chronograph Red Kite limited edition.

The tripartite case—emblematic of all Richard Mille watches—features the luster of a 5N red gold bezel, crown and pusher casings, in stark contrast with the matte black texture of its DLC titanium case band, case back, pushers and deployant buckle. The red gold hue carries through to the watch’s numerals, hands and lacquered rotor, while black reappears on the crown protector and rubber strap. Some of the RM 011’s main features, which include major technical innovations, are its skeletonized automatic winding movement with adjustable rotor geometry; 60-minute countdown timer; 12-hour totalizer; annual calendar; and oversize date and month. Only 30 pieces of the new RM 011 Felipe Massa Flyback Chronograph Red Kite will be made. The limited edition will be sold exclusively at authorized Richard Mille retailers in North and South America. ■
