The striking creativity of Roger Dubuis watches and its advertising campaigns is also clearly apparent in its new website, an authentic global business card. Like the new advertising campaign, the Roger Dubuis website highlights the four symbolic worlds of Player, Warrior, Venturer and Diva. It provides an interactive introduction to what lies beyond the door of each of these unique worlds and travels to the heart of the Roger Dubuis universe. Clicking on the visual launches an animation that explores the environment of the Incredible Warrior: a grotto where the light of ancient torches reveals the Excalibur collection. The door to the Incredible Diva lifts the veil on the mysterious, intriguing subterranean world that protects the Velvet collection. The Incredible Player decor takes us into a room with a thick red carpet, home to the Monégasque collection. The world of the Incredible Venturer includes a high-security area where the Pulsion models are kept safe.
To reflect the highly demanding world of Roger Dubuis, the website has been developed with the latest technologies, such as HTML 5. The Roger Dubuis creative and digital team called on the expertise of the French agency Ultranoir to perfect this essential element of the company’s communications. Voted Agency of the Year 2011 by the respected website Awwwards.com this digital creation team rose to the challenge outlined by Roger Dubuis. The full-screen site offers an irresistible invitation to immerse yourself in the incredible Universe of Roger Dubuis. Among other prestigious prizes, it was named “Site of the day” by Awwwards.com on 30 June and will receive the same recognition from the FWA on 24th July. “I am very proud of the Roger Dubuis team’s work on the website, which has already received several important awards” says Jean-Marc Pontroué, CEO of Roger Dubuis, “It is a perfect reflection of the company’s renewal. Collections and Movements
The focus is always firmly on the models with the visual in the central position. Two levels of zoom can be used to discover the smallest details of the watch. Each model is clearly defined: its design, technical features, number of pieces produced, the movement... Films can be shown in full-screen size to create a cinematic effect of total immersion. From the watch, visitors move to the Movements section which offers the same technical functions. They can also navigate in the opposite direction. In fact, the interest aroused by the famous movements and by the Hallmark of Geneva naturally leads them towards the Roger Dubuis watches. If they are interested by a particular movement, they can easily find the models fitted with it. Exploded illustrations of the movements in 3D, developed in-house, are also available. They provide even more proof of the originality that differentiates Roger Dubuis.
Hallmark of Geneva
The Hallmark of Geneva is the official guarantee that the mechanism has been manufactured by hand, assembled and adjusted in Geneva. On the occasion of its 125th anniversary, it has recently changed into a certification for the entire watch: in addition to the 12 traditional criteria relating to the movement, it now imposes criteria for the watch’s external parts and its performance. With these extra requirements, the new Hallmark of Geneva focuses on the complete satisfaction of the customer while reflecting current and future developments in Fine Watchmaking. The Boutiques section is also innovative with a geo-locating system that shows a visitor the nearest boutiques and other points of sale. It also offers a worldwide search by means of a form and geographic points annotated on a map.
