Grand Opening F.P. Journe Boutique in Beijing

F.P.Journe who celebrate over 30 years of exceptional watch creation has opened its first Boutique in mainland China, in the Yintaï Centre, two steps away from Tienanmen square. This is the brand’s sixth boutique around the world, after Tokyo, Hong Kong, Geneva, Paris and New York. The Ambassador of Switzerland in Beijing, Mr. Blaise Godet, and the General Manager of Beijing Yintai Property Co., Ltd., Ms. Zhu Xiaodong, together with Francois-Paul Journe, cut the ribbon and welcome guests, collectors, and journalists to the newly opened boutique.

This occasion marks a new milestone for the F.P.Journe brand from which Manufacture established in the centre of Geneva produces 95% of its components. In a constant search for precision, the exclusive F.P.Journe movements have contributed to a significant improvement for the history of watchmaking. The brand’s motto: « Invenit et Fecit », placed on all its timepieces certify innovative and exclusive calibres, entirely invented and manufactured in-house in its Geneva, Switzerland, workshops.

Acclaimed by the public and professionals alike, F.P.Journe has garnered countless awards in the watchmaking community all over the world for his numerous groundbreaking timepieces. Most notably, he received the most coveted « Aiguille d’Or » 3 times at the Grand Prix d’horlogerie of Geneva, an unprecedented accomplishment matched by no others in the industry. The first for his Tourbillon Souverain with constant force device and dead beat second; the second for its exemplary Sonnerie Souveraine and its 10 patents; and the third for the Centigraphe Souverain, an unprecedented chronograph to the 100th of a second. The Boutiques feature a salon, and a bar where collectors and watch aficionados of haute horologerie can meet and share their mutual passion, and a watch library with numerous books about watchmaking.
