Mission accomplished for the new watchesandwonders.com digital platform, designed and developed by teams at the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, during lockdown and in record time. Since launching on April 25th, the platform has recorded 55,000 unique visitors from 180 countries and 87,000 sessions. The numbers for social media are equally promising, with an estimated 85.7 million reaches. In all, a huge success for watchesandwonders.com and its media, brand and retail partners that confirms the appeal of a platform set to become the online reference for excellence in watchmaking
“I’m delighted this platform can continue to share the latest news from the Watches & Wonders brands. Dynamic and educational content from the FHH’s own teams is also regularly enriched with contributions from industry players. Now it’s the turn of Parmigiani Fleurier and Arnold & Son to show their new products for 2020 and we’re excited to see them,” declared Fabienne Lupo, Chairwoman and Managing Director of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie.
Making its grand entrance at watchesandwonders.com, Parmigiani Fleurier unveils a new execution of the Toric – whose case references ancient Greek Doric columns – with the first ever tourbillon in the collection. “We warmly congratulate the FHH for creating the Watches & Wonders digital platform, a new player on the watchmaking scene,” says Davide Traxler, Parmigiani Fleurier CEO. “Our Manufacture is proud to be part of this moment by presenting the Toric Slate Tourbillon. This timepiece encapsulates the values that define our brand: haute horlogerie and a contemporary interpretation of lessons from the past.”
Prior to revealing a brand-new calibre this autumn, Arnold & Son is also taking advantage of the features provided by watchesandwonders.com to show off the latest interpretation of its Time Pyramid Tourbillon, an exceptional timepiece driven by a skeletonised tourbillon movement with two power-reserve indicators. “In these unusual circumstances, we must demonstrate considerable humility and agility. Following the cancellation of Watches & Wonders Geneva, the FHH rapidly responded with the Watches & Wonders digital platform. This is where we will be presenting, this autumn, our new calibre with a three-dimensional display that will join our iconic collections, and where we are already showing the latest executions of our Time Pyramid Tourbillon,” says Bertrand Savary, President of Arnold & Son.
Subject to how the health crisis evolves, more of the Watches & Wonders participating Maisons will be adding their 2020 launches to the platform over the coming weeks. Informative and innovative content from the FHH will make watchesandwonders.com a place to come back to; a reference that will continue to grow 365 days a year to meet brands’ needs and bring the watchmaking community together.
