For the third year running, Hublot is proud to have been chosen as the Official Timekeeper for the Bol d’Or Mirabaud 2015. Nothing could be more natural than Hublot’s involvement in this unmissable event held on Lake Geneva. The world’s largest regatta on a closed basin, it links the two ends of Lake Geneva from Geneva to Le Bouveret.

The Bol d’Or Mirabaud is an exciting 123 kilometre (66.5 nautical mile) sporting competition. More than 500 boats take their place at the starting line for a spectacular start to the race, which each year brings together professional yachtsmen and amateurs, as well as 100 volunteers and 20 boats from the Société Nautique de Genève to manage the competing multihulls and monohulls.

The start, a veritable institution for the several thousand spectators who come from all over the world especially to experience the friendly, welcoming atmosphere, is scheduled for 10 am on Saturday 13th June 2015. More than 2500 crew members will take to Lake Geneva, ready to embark on their adventure.

It reflects the values of our brand.

Hublot has created a watch in a limited edition of 77 numbered pieces especially to mark this 77th edition. This year sees a new sport-chic version of the Classic Fusion Chronograph featuring a dial, bezel and strap in carbon fibre, a high-tech material particularly favoured by sportspeople, known for its lightness, impact resistance and instantly recognisable design. The case of this Classic Fusion is made from ceramic, and the strap from carbon fibre sewn onto blue rubber. The use of carbon fibre, ceramic and rubber embodies the principle of the Art of Fusion which is so dear to Hublot.

The two chronograph counters are in deep midnight blue, matching the colour of the bezel and the strap stitching, which reflects the blue of Lake Geneva.

Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, made the following statement: “Hublot is very proud to be partnering the Bol d’Or Mirabaud for another year. This sailing race, which is close to the hearts of Swiss people, raises the profile of the region and of sailing itself, a sport which Hublot has supported for many years. The Bol d’Or Mirabaud naturally attracts Hublot’s support since it reflects the values of our brand: sport achievement, a stunning spectacle, Switzerland, sharing, etc. We wish all the participants the very best of luck and hope the wind will be with them this weekend! »
