Movado

Movado was set up in 1881 by Achille Ditesheim. The brand prospered, thanks to innovative timepieces such as the Polyplan (1912), whose movement was built on three planes to fully fit the convex case. Throughout the 1980s, the brand worked closely with artists and initiated cultural partnerships. It was taken over by the North American Watch Corporation in 1983. Watches by Movado, whose name means "always in motion" in Esperanto, are shown in museums worldwide for their distinctive design.
