Patek Philippe

Since its arrival in 1839, Patek Philippe has been the brand to evoke every superlative. It combines the latest technologies and know-how of traditional watch-making to create watches which make their mark on history. It is renowned for its many patents and for beating records at auction sales. Owned by the Stern family since 1932, it is one of the rare independent watch-making manufacturers.

Antoine Patek, a businessman of Polish origin, and François Czapek, a watchmaker of Czech origin, found the watch-making company Patek, Czapek & Cie in Genève.

1976

Launch of the Nautilus. The model is very innovative not only in terms of the originality of its shape, known as referred to as the "television" shape, but also in terms of its size: 42 mm.

2002

Launch of the Sky Moon Tourbillon model, a wrist watch with the most complicated double dial produced hitherto.

2014

The Supercomplication Henry Graves confirms its status as the most expensive timepiece ever to be sold at auction, achieving 19.3 million Euros at Sotheby’s in Geneva.
