Kintaro Hattori launched the Seikosha watch brand, later shortened to Seiko.
The Grand Seiko created by Daini Seikosha and Suwa Seikosha, two subsidiaries of Seiko Corporation that were already producing quality watches (the Crown and the Chronos).
