In 2019 and for the first time in the history of aviation, two British pilots circumnavigated the globe in a Spitfire. The main partner of the “Silver Spitfire - The Longest Flight” expedition, IWC has created a pilot’s watch in honour of this record-breaking flight.

70 years ago, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry took off on a reconnaissance flight over France and never returned. Now, IWC Schaffhausen commemorates the last flight of the celebrated pilot and author with three special limited editions, thereby strengthening its longstanding partnership with Saint-Exupéry’s descendants. Moreover, all proceeds from the sale of the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition “The Last Flight” in platinum at an auction later this year will benefit the charitable Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation.

For the second time in India, a watch-making training programme was held by the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) in Bangalore and Delhi. A total of 52 watch retail staff from brands and retailers were trained by a Swiss Trainer Ms. Veronique Walthers, who flew in from Geneva especially for conducting the programme.
