Whether above or below deck, by or in the pool, on a surfboard, yacht, or lounger: The two new Aqua models from Nomos Glashütte are the perfect accompaniment this summer (and afterwards too). The German watchmaking company is continuing the Aqua series with new watches for water in siren white, powered by Nomos’ highly precise neomatik caliber. These two automatic timepieces are based on the Club and Ahoi models; thanks to their extra-robust cases made from stainless steel and sapphire crystal glass, they are water-resistant to 200 meters.
Blue hands and red minute markers are dashes of color on the pure white dial. These watches also tell the time after sunset thanks to glowing SuperLuminova. They are powered by the neomatik caliber DUW 3001. At only 3.2 millimeters in height, this caliber is exceptionally slender with a modern and efficient construction. It only takes a few motions of the arm to wind it fully. The pace-setting part of this caliber is the Nomos swing system, the company’s proprietary escapement.
Ahoi neomatik siren white is available in a classic size of 36 millimeters, while Club neomatik siren white is a touch larger, with a 37-millimeter diameter. Watches for men and women alike, in other words. Like the current models of the series, these new water-resistant timepieces come with a tailor-made textile strap in light gray, which is designed by Nomos Glashütte and woven to the company’s exact specifications in France. It looks smart, dries quickly, and gives the watches a sporty elegance.
